NORCROSS, Ga., Oct 14, 2009 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- EasyLink Services International Corporation ("EasyLink" or "Company") (NasdaqCM: ESIC, www.EasyLink.com), a global provider of comprehensive messaging services and e-commerce solutions, today announced it has launched its state-of-the-art Managed Services due to increasing demand for outsourced Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) solutions.
Drivers of this EDI outsourcing trend include a severe shortage of EDI professionals, an increasingly complex supply chain, and the high costs of acquiring and maintaining EDI software and hardware. Furthermore, a number of recent studies by leading analyst firms have shed light on the significant impacts EDI problems have on a company's bottom line. For example, a delay in getting a new supplier added to the supply chain results in products not getting on shelves in a timely manner and, thus, missed sales.
